We’ll always strive to meet your schedule, but having a 2-4 week cushion is wise for significant projects. Also, consider ordering a couple extra paddles if budget allows – for late joiners or to have spares. Many clients tell us they regretted not ordering 2-3 more the first time around. If you end up not needing them, you have backups or you can even use them as giveaways or door prizes at events. Far better than having too few.

A: It depends on the provider. Some manufacturers require a 10+ paddle minimum due to setup costs. At Canvas Pickleball, we understand individuals may want a one-of-a-kind paddle, so we offer single custom paddle orders as well. There’s no strict MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) on our standard custom program – you can absolutely order just one. That said, if you only need one, keep in mind the cost per paddle will be higher than for a group (because we can’t spread out the setup time). But we’ll still make it as affordable as possible, and you’ll get the same quality attention. For bulk orders, we do provide price breaks, of course.

A: A well-made custom paddle should last just as long as any comparable retail paddle. The lifespan of a paddle generally is a year or two of heavy play before the materials might lose a bit of pop – this is true for all paddles as the core and face fatigue. The custom graphic, if done via professional printing like ours, will not peel or significantly fade in that normal lifespan. We use UV-protective finishes, so sunlight won’t quickly dull the colors. You might see minor scratches on the design over time (from court scrapes or hitting rough balls), but nothing major that ruins the look. In short, treat it like any paddle – avoid banging it on the ground or hitting metal posts – and it will stay looking sharp. And remember, things like grips are replaceable, so you can refresh your custom paddle periodically (re-wrap the handle, etc.) to keep it feeling new.

A: This is why we send a design proof for your approval. It’s super important to check every detail on that proof. If somehow a mistake slips through that was on the approved proof (e.g., you approved a misspelled name), it’s a tough lesson – we can re-do the order, but there would be a cost. However, if the mistake is on our end (we deviated from the approved design or specs), we will absolutely fix it and make it right, free of charge. Our goal is for you to be thrilled with your custom paddles. We triple-check everything, and we encourage you to do the same when reviewing proofs. Communication is key – don’t hesitate to ask for an extra check or a small change if you’re not sure. It’s easier to adjust before production than after!
